We all know the issue of climate change is probably the most important thing facing us and our children today – but finding ways of persuading people to use less stuff is deeply challenging. Throwing new scientific methods at this problem is likely where the solution lies.

The site is a WordPress build and developed so it is responsive, able to deliver content to mobile, tablet or desktop. Under the hood we’ve got our modular content framework which allows content editors at Virgin to easily add new blocks of content, FAQ’s, grids of featured pages, or posts.

As with everything we do, our main focus is really two-fold: firstly, making sure the site is simple, navigable and attractive to people on the front-end, and secondly, reducing content editing time and effort so the site can remain up-to-date and topical with minimal effort required from in-house teams of already busy people.

Description

We’ve recently had the privilege of working with the Virgin Earth Challenge team on a new website for this hugely inspiring project. The Virgin Earth Challenge is a $25 million dollar prize for an economically sustainable way of removing carbon from the air. As people who are very concerned about the environment – this stuff really resonates.

When we wanted to make updates to our website we needed a web developer that would be able to take a complex, in-depth issue and present it in a fun, professional, coherent, comprehensive and  navigable way, and Thirty8 did not disappoint! It was an absolute pleasure dealing with the Thirty8 team. They were immediately responsive to any queries and their creativity and patience made working with them a real delight. If you are looking to create nice web content around your organisation and initiative then Thirty8 are a great partner. I would highly recommend them.

What people say

  • Helen Hayden, Head of Marketing, The American Museum in Britain

Thirty8 Digital certainly made, what seemed a challenging project, run smoothly. By gauging the full staff’s opinion on the old website and where we should be heading with a new one, Thirty8 Digital were able to combine everyone’s thoughts and help us create a clean, easy to navigate, informative website with plenty of scope for further development....

  • Angela Hind, Director, Medical Research Foundation, Medical Research Foundation

Thirty8 Digital have provided us with a great looking new website. Mike and his team were a pleasure to work with, accommodating our uncontrollably changing deadlines and working patiently to help us – 100% website novices – to understand the technical aspects of the project that we had to be exposed to (and Mike was very good at keeping this to a minimum)....

  • Martin Bush, Retracing Salford, Salford & Cheetham Hill in Focus

We are a small team based in the community arts and heritage sector. We faced the daunting task of preserving and digitising a large glass plate photography collection of 12,000 images from the 1950s and 60s....
