We've worked with Running High - the organisers of the Bath Half Marathon since 2011 - managing and delivering all digital elements of their race communications - from e-newsletters, to social media streams and web content. We've also recently introduced them to the wonders of WordPress for managing their online content. In 2014 we have also supported Running High with their new half marathon in Oxford.
We’ve recently had the privilege of working with the Virgin Earth Challenge team on a new website for this hugely inspiring project. The Virgin Earth Challenge is a $25 million dollar prize for an economically sustainable way of removing carbon from the air. As people who are very concerned about the environment – this stuff really resonates.
We've had the privilege of working with Blue Sail, a successful tourism consultancy and strategic marketing agency, on a couple of really great projects. This year we've had the pleasure of working with them on the new Richard III visitor centre in Leicester. We were only too pleased when they asked us to build the new Blue Sail website for them recently.
The HomeOwners Alliance is a relatively new organisation championing, supporting and serving Britain’s 17 million homeowners and 5 million aspiring homeowners. HOA's chief executive, Paula Higgins, approached us in 2012 and asked us to build their website. We still feel really proud when we look back at this website and are so happy that Paula and her team use the site constantly. They are our model client when it comes to creating new, fresh and relevant content and we enjoy supporting them technically on an ongoing basis.
The Medical Research Council's Toxicology Unit required a new website that would be used by both internal and external audiences. This is the second website we have done for the Medical Research Council and it needed to have a distinct look and feel but one that would sit comfortably within the MRC's design identity.
We've done a lot of work with the excellent people at the University of Bath Innovation Centre - not least of all they host the monthly BathCamp meetups that we've been running for the last five years so we were delighted when they asked us to help them scope and deliver their new website for them.
We were asked by the University of Glasgow, on behalf of CRESH (Centre for Research on Environment, Society and Health) to help them find a way of expressing some of their research (and the questions their research has raised) on the web. This one one of our first bits of work as Thirty8 Digital and we loved working with a Bath-based animator to deliver this project.
The University of Leicester required a website which would detail their research about, and their re-creation of, some of the best and most important Tudor monuments in existence. Their project is truly amazing and is called Representing Re-formation.
One of the best things about working at the Science Museum in London was the amazingly talented, interesting and inspiring folk that we got to spend our days with. Some of those amazingly talented folk now work for KCA London, a partnership which creates ‘visitor experiences’ in museums, galleries and science centres around the world. We didn't need too much persuasion when Kate Cole asked us to develop KCA London’s new website.
Collective Encounters is a professional theatre company based in Liverpool which uses theatre as a tool for social change. From the moment we met their Executive Director, Annette Burghes, and looked at some of their wonderful photographs from rehearsals and performances, we knew we really wanted to work with them.
I can wholeheartedly recommend Mike and Rachel who have been the power behind the scene of our website and social media presence at the Bath Half for three years now. As a small web-based business delivering personal service to tens of thousands of customers, the tone and content of our digital communications is our lifeblood....
Project: Bath Half Marathon: website development and digital communication
We knew we made the right decision to work with Thirty8 Digital from the get go. Their knowledge of the heritage, digital and marketing world is second-to-none and their friendliness and enthusiasm for our complex project made the experience all the more enjoyable....
Project: Handel House Museum website
We are generating a huge amount of rich multimedia and narrative which we wanted to publish online to complement our exhibitions programme. User research has shown that our audiences engage better with longer form content rather than just a database front-end. Thirty8 Digital developed a stunning, flexible theme which allows us to rapidly develop narrative content in a way which is complementary to the exhibition development process....
