In January 2012 we were commission by Blue Sail to deliver part of a MLA (Museums, Libraries, Archives) funded piece of work on Cultural Tourism for the South West Regional Museums hub (Bristol Museums; Russell Cotes Museum, Bournemouth; Royal Cornwall Museum, Truro; Plymouth City Museum & Art Gallery, Royal Albert Memorial Museum, Exeter). Thirty8 Digital delivered the digital strand of this Cultural Tourism project, advising the Museums on aspects of their web or digital presence.
The needs of each client varied significantly and we have used different parts of our skill set including; digital strategy writing, content development, content audit, social media training, advice on use of new technologies (e.g. QR codes), advice on mobile app development, training and advice on use of web analytical tools; as well as facilitating work with key partners and stakeholders on specific digital projects.
The photos are of a recent trip we took to Bristol’s M Shed with our boys. It has a very special place in our hearts as the development phase of the project was part of Rachel’s remit when she worked in Bristol. It’s always nice to see something that used to just be ideas in a folder on your desk turn into something so good. We really enjoyed working with the team at MShed on this Cultural Tourism project.
