Google Analytics training
The Tyne & Wear Archives & Museum report on web stats for their nine venues. Their comms team, who do the reporting, use google analytics, but are limited by resources and available time. The sense across the TWAM team was that although they are quite adept at delivering concise stats to their stakeholders, they wanted some help understanding levels of engagement - and, more importantly - what “success” means for each of the venues and across the service.
The training had three parts to it:
> Working with the TWAM team – both face to face and via phone / web interviews to understand and help flesh out their high-level strategy for the venues online – thus helping everyone understand what “success” is, and how we might measure it.
> Helping determine which tools might be of best use to plot trends and easily see, analyse and make their stats available.
> Development of relevant custom reports within Google Analytics to help the team query their stats against success criteria.
