One of our favourite projects in recent years, the Government Art Collection is a beautiful WordPress design and build with a whole range of technology under the hood. More importantly, though, the site has incredibly rich and fascinating content. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Unlike many clients, the GAC were wholly ready to begin their project with a totally clean slate. We worked with the team to help them develop a digital strategy and then an online presence with stories right at the core. The team needed to not only showcase their incredible varied collection of artworks but also wanted the means to write about and around those artworks. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

A new CultureObject<\/a> provider calls the in-house collections management system API on a regular basis and updates the artwork records. We then developed (and are continuing to develop!) a number of blocks which enable the editorial team to drop in artwork timelines, maps, galleries and more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Overall though (and we’ve said it many times before with the amazing projects we get to work on) – it’s the content<\/strong> which is the major factor in the GAC site. Not only are the artworks themselves meticulously catalogued, the photography is stunning and the stories they’ve created are well researched and written, too.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
