After working with the Foundation on an audit of their current digital offering we were asked to develop an updated version of their website – one which was responsive, had clear calls to action and the ability to tell compelling stories about the composer Benjamin Britten, his partner the tenor Peter Pears and the music that was written at The Red House, the site where the Foundation is based.

The house itself is incredibly atmospheric and tells a completely absorbing story about Britten and Pears. We worked closely with the team to develop a look and feel which was in keeping with this narrative – one which gave a sense of the extraordinary creativity and heritage behind the music.

The end result is a rich, colourful site which enables the team to highlight the amazing collection and stories – as well as emphasising the beautiful, timeless images of Britten, Pears and their lives.

Description

In late 2016 we worked with the Britten Pears Foundation on a piece of consultancy looking at the digital offering of the foundation. The work looked in detail at the current offer; auditing both content, site structure and analytics. We went went on to lay out a vision and strategic framework for developing their offer in 2017.In 2017 we worked with the Foundation to develop a new website.

I have worked with Thity8 Digital in the past and it was an easy decision to work with them again on a new project. This time it was to evaluate the Britten-Pears Foundation’s digital offer and work on a two-phased website project. I knew I was in safe hands to deliver a new website on a limited budget and on an even tighter deadline. They supported me throughout the process and project managed to perfection. Phase one of the website is complete and I am look forward to working with them again on phase two later this year.
