In January 2013 we worked with CounterCulture to help them deliver a project plan for a Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF) Stage 1 application to be submitted by a consortium of museums in the Hampshire-Solent area.

The consortium were:

  • Hampshire County Council Arts and Museums Service
  • Portsmouth City Council Museums and Records Service
  • Southampton City Council Arts and Heritage Service
  • Winchester City Council Museums Service

Their project, [working title “Engine Room”] proposed to integrate the consortium’s curatorial expertise and collections in a single location with a new digitally focussed approach to engagement, access, participation and learning.

Our remit included delivering visioning work for the digital aspects of the project, presenting approaches and options to digital participation and learning, and analysis of online audience data/development of digital user personas.
