A highly accessible website build for this inspiring project from the Restoration Trust and Norfolk Record Office.

“Change Minds is a unique heritage, creative, wellbeing project engaging those living with mental health problems. Participants use historical archives to research and develop creative responses to the lives of asylum patients in the past, developing a deeper understanding of their own experience along the way.”

The project features simple but powerful “logged-in”only functionality, a simplified page builder to enable the project team to build up easy-to-read guidelines for their participants and much more.

When we secured the funding for Scaling Up Change Minds from the National Lottery Heritage Fund, one of our first priorities was to appoint a web developer.   The Change Minds website needed to serve multiple purposes:  as an advocacy too for Change Minds, as a source of information for potential partners and participants, and as a tool for delivery of individual Change Minds 12-week mental wellbeing programmes.  The site also needed to be easy to manage and update once the Scaling Up Project finished and Change Minds projects started rolling out across the country.  We also wanted it to look good! Working with Mike and the team at Thirty8 has helped us achieve all of this.  Their project management, communication and design skills have been invaluable.  And, as a bonus, they have been great to work with.

We chose Thirty8 Digital to work on our Designated World Cultures website because of their experience in working with collections data and their solid reputation in the museum sector. Their work with our Collections Database website’s API to pull object data and images into the new website and making it a seamless part of the overall product delivered exactly what we hoped for....

  • Rosa Martyn - Communications Coordinator, acta Community Theatre

As a small charity with limited resources (both time and money), choosing a website designer for a complete overhaul and modernisation of our website was a daunting task – we didn’t have much breathing room. This was also the first time I’d lead on a project with this much impact and I was pretty nervous but after our first online meeting, I knew both I and the project would be in safe hands with Thirty8 thanks to Mike’s honesty and his friendly approach....
