The Museum Platform

The Museum Platform (or TMP to keep things short and easy…) is a new venture between Thirty8, Sesamoid Consulting and Knowledge Integration. We launched the company in March 2020 – the aim is to provide a rock solid, totally scaleable platform which allows smaller museums to get their collections and other content online. There is a particular focus on narrative: storytelling around objects in particular is a big passion of mine, and we’re building some really amazing (and very budget-friendly!) tools to help museums do this.

Culture Object

We built the open source CultureObject plugin for WordPress some years ago – but have continued to invest in it over time, building out new providers, new interfaces and improved functionality. The plugin allows you to easily pull in your collection data so it is native to WordPress. Once it’s there you can do powerful things with it: build a stand-alone collections site, a mobile web app, a curatorial check-in system… or, just integrate your object records with your existing WordPress website.
