The Jewish Museum, London
Website design and build
A bright and functional website for this wonderful London museum
The Jewish Museum approached us in June 2017 asking us to bid for development of their new website. We jumped at the chance – we’d visited the museum before and loved their approach to content and exhibitions as well as their approach to visual design and gallery spaces.
The project was slightly unusual in that it entailed the launch of the Learning section before the launch of the main site. From a design and technical point of view this meant we had to think about some things back to front, making sure that features for the Learning site weren’t going to end up duplicated when we began the development of the main site.
The Learning site went live in November 2017 – we then began the main site project which went live in September 2018.
There’s lots to see on the new site, from a faceted resource search for teachers, to the use of our very own CultureObject plugin to bring in collections items for Jewish Britain: A History in 50 Objects, a simple branded shop and filterable, searchable event calendar.
