We all know the issue of climate change is probably the most important thing facing us and our children today – but finding ways of persuading people to use less stuff is deeply challenging. Throwing new scientific methods at this problem is likely where the solution lies.

The site is a WordPress build and developed so it is responsive, able to deliver content to mobile, tablet or desktop. Under the hood we’ve got our modular content framework which allows content editors at Virgin to easily add new blocks of content, FAQ’s, grids of featured pages, or posts.

As with everything we do, our main focus is really two-fold: firstly, making sure the site is simple, navigable and attractive to people on the front-end, and secondly, reducing content editing time and effort so the site can remain up-to-date and topical with minimal effort required from in-house teams of already busy people.

Description

We’ve recently had the privilege of working with the Virgin Earth Challenge team on a new website for this hugely inspiring project. The Virgin Earth Challenge is a $25 million dollar prize for an economically sustainable way of removing carbon from the air. As people who are very concerned about the environment – this stuff really resonates.

When we wanted to make updates to our website we needed a web developer that would be able to take a complex, in-depth issue and present it in a fun, professional, coherent, comprehensive and  navigable way, and Thirty8 did not disappoint! It was an absolute pleasure dealing with the Thirty8 team. They were immediately responsive to any queries and their creativity and patience made working with them a real delight. If you are looking to create nice web content around your organisation and initiative then Thirty8 are a great partner. I would highly recommend them.

When we secured the funding for Scaling Up Change Minds from the National Lottery Heritage Fund, one of our first priorities was to appoint a web developer.   The Change Minds website needed to serve multiple purposes:  as an advocacy too for Change Minds, as a source of information for potential partners and participants, and as a tool for delivery of individual Change Minds 12-week mental wellbeing programmes.  The site also needed to be easy to manage and update once the Scaling Up Project finished and Change Minds projects started rolling out across the country.  We also wanted it to look good! Working with Mike and the team at Thirty8 has helped us achieve all of this....

We worked with Thirty8 Digital to design, host and support an artist’s project commemorating the centenary of the 1918 ‘Spanish’ Flu pandemic.
